Zinc

Zinc

Zinc is a non-ferrous metal with several properties that make it useful for a variety of applications: Galvanizing: Zinc is used to make other metals less corrosive through a process called galvanizing. This process is used in the construction of bridges, fencing, metal roofs, and automotive and marine parts. Batteries: Zinc is used in batteries. Paints: Zinc oxide is used in paints. Die casting: Zinc alloys are used for die casting because of their fluidity and mechanical strength. This process is often used to produce high-strength miniature parts.
